GREETINGS

My name is Sean Richards Teter and I am a composer, performer, and collaborative pianist residing in Princeton, New Jersey. As a mentor, I instruct musicians of all ages and abilities from my private music studio. With my incorporation of present-day technologies into piano lessons, students have access to scoring and recording studio equipment in which to take their compositions and performances to the next level and to make their creative dreams a reality.  I also teach select students internationally via videoconferencing software. An Annual Student Piano Recital, hosted prior to the conclusion of each academic year, has become a huge success and motivational outlet among my students.

I received a degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy in 2005 from Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ, studying privately with faculty members such as Phyllis Alpert Lehrer, Ena Bronstein Barton, James Goldsworthy, J.J. Penna, and Stefan Young, as well as accompanying vocalists within the studios of Sharon Sweet, Margaret Cusack, and Lindsey Christiansen. An integral part of my training involved singing in the WCC Symphonic Choir, performing choral masterworks with world-class symphony orchestras — including the New York Philharmonic and under conductors such as Lorin Maazel. I have been a Registered Yoga Instructor since 2007, certified through the Yoga Alliance under the study of acclaimed yoga expert Dr. Jaime Stover Schmitt.  While much of my time is spent teaching and recording musicians or creating my own compositions, I am also in the midst of spearheading a new music education movement via state of the art technologies.
